●WRITE A SHORT SUMMARY OF WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FILM
This film is to promote “100 Hour Time Travel Tour”, a group tour to a care centre for people with intellectual disabilities in Japan. This very alternative tour brings you to travel “times” in the centre and is not an ordinary tour that guides you what to see. The guests are meant to discover their own “sight” by stretching out their own feelings and senses.
This film starts off showing guests with various backgrounds coming to Ars Nova, a care centre for people with intellectual disabilities. The centre is located in Hamamatsu, a 2 hours intercity train ride from Tokyo. A day at Ars Nova begins as usual. A member of staff with a pregnant wife goes to work. The centre users’ parents manage to bring them to the centre, and then the tour guests come visit. The guests are experiencing sights nothing special at the centre, and are spending times with the users, improvising free style music together, staying in a park.
The guests are gradually empathizing the way the users are at the centre and that releases real themselves. Then, they go back to their own life after the tour.
This film illustrates the tour’s raison d’etre and what it has to offer from views of the guests, staff at Ars Nova and the centre users. There is no narration and subtitles as if the film gives you a mock experience of the tour.
